When I took children's literature from Zena Sutherland (many moons ago), she read the witty chapter in Anastasia Krupnik in which Anastasia visit's her father's college poetry class. I follow Zena's lead when I teach children's literature and use this chapter (with its adult sensibility) to introduce children's poetry.
