Hello, I recieved funding to host a grandparent/grandchild book club. The bookclub will include 4th & 5th graders. In addition, the grant will allow for the purchase of books with positive grandparent/grandchild relationships. My request for information is two-pronged:
1) I would appreciate suggestions for books, including picture books, that both the adults & children would enjoy & would be conducive to discussion. An added bonus would be a book that includes the grandchildren/grandparent component.
2) Also, I would appreciate suggestions for books to add to the collection that show a positive grandparent/granchild relationship. The books can include boardbooks through YA books. A plus would be books that highlight the grandparent as the caretaker for the child.
Thank you for your help. Please email me at dmatejka at gardencitylibrary.org
