My heart belongs in the early childhood classroom, but I do venture out occasionally to teach a university course now and then. This fall I have the great honor of teaching Children's Literature to a group of undergraduate students. I am excited to be teaching this course at long last...
Last night during class, I read the prologue and first four chapters of Natalie Babbitt's classic, Tuck Everlasting. Everyone in the class was captivated...hooked from the start. The pages read beautifully and quickly. As you read the brief prologue, a scant page, you cannot help but wonder about the three seemingly unrelated events mentioned.
