Great list, Kathy. I am familiar with about half of these, but I am very interested in finding out about some of the others. In particular, I am going to look into getting the Gary Paulsen book, "How Angel Peterson Got His Name". Many of my students like his books but tend to read the typical ones like "Hatchet" and "Brian's Winter". I looked up information on "How Angel . . ." and it sounds like it is a book of short stories. Even better for short reading aloud!
