This made me think of a couple of books I have really enjoyed sharing with children. One of my all time favorites is "Klippty Klop" by Ed Emberley, my preferred version of the Going on a Bear Hunt kind of story. It is great fun to read or tell, but unfortunately, now out of print.

A new picture book with a wonderful cadence is "Tanka Tanka Skunk!" by Steve Webb from Orchard Books. There are some terrific word combinations and it should be lots of fun for both the reader and listener.
