Hello,
I have to jump in and leave my lurker shoes behind. While I agree that Ann Martin's "A Corner of the Universe" and "The Doll People" were very good and showed the versatility of her writing ability, I can't help thinking back to Rumer Godden's "The Doll House?" (Having said that, I have to confess that I have not as yet read "The Meanest Doll in the World." Although I do intend to, I am curious as to how they compare.) What Makes me more curious is Martin's sequel "The Meanest Doll in the World." Has anyone read and compared "The Doll House" with "The Doll People" & it's sequel, and if so, what have you noticed?
Thanks, Karen Moroughan
