I have sad news. Ruth Heller passed away on 7/1/04. There was an article about her in the S.F. Chronicle just recently, and here is the link:
There was a note at the end about memoriams being sent to the Corning Home Hospice or to a charity of personal choice.
Ruth was an amazing person and her books were wonderful. She will be terribly missed in the children's book world.
