books and TV: a clarification

I in no way meant to suggest that TV could ever take the place of books and reading aloud. Though many a day passes without the TV, not a day passes when my husband or I don't read aloud to our children. And it is wonderful to see them modelling this behavior; the older ones already "read" to the two month old. Thanks to the other Robin (Robin Smith) for so eloquently expressing the importance of reading aloud.

p.s. I think Nathan Lane is terrific as George, though I certainly wouldn't have come up with it on my own. But who knows what talking hippos are supposed to sound like? Everyone's imaginations are so unique . . .
