Luna, (was Hallmarks)

I competely agree that Regan was the more likeable character. That, for me, was really important.I was able to identify with Regan, and view Luna through her eyes. I am glad that Luna was imperfect. S/He was not idealized or without blame for her own difficulties (she made things worse for herself more than once, out of desperation and because she's a teenager...Whose journey to self-discovery during adolescence isn't narcissistic?) So she was much more than a symbolic character there to force a story. Furthermore, she WAS the story! Regan was merely the lens, the way we non TG readers have access to Luna .

I have trouble with the assertation that "it is much more painful for those around him/her." What kind of pain could be greater than the pain that makes a person want to kill herself? Luna's complete self absorption shows us just how much she was hurting and reeling towards some kind of end to her pain.
