I was talking to my mother a few minutes ago (a great librarian/mellow ally for kids of all stripes) about the idea of a bookmark or sticker inviting borrowing without checkout, as well as filling her in on the rest of this ccbc-net discussion. (She's one of the interested ones who prefers lurking, but is too busy even to do that as she is retiring from her library after many years-last day today. Wow!). She said she saw a nice article written about honor system circulation for books with LGBT content in a recent professional periodical. (?) As she is a school library media specialist and I'm public, we don't always read the same things. Do any of you remember seeing the article? I'll certainly search for it, but would be interested in hearing from those who read it. Feel free to reply to just me if this is too off topic for the list as a whole. I hope I'm not hogging space, here.
