And if you need more things to fill up your agenda Diane Wolkstein, Dan Keding, and Carrie Sue Ayvar will be telling stories Saturday night, while Mary Morgan Smith and I will be leading the storytelling workshop on Sunday afternoon.

For those of you going to ALA, here of two programs that might be of interest:

 

On Saturday, June 26, from 10:30 a.m.-noon, at the Rosen Centre, Salon 3/4, the panel "Attracting the Youngest Patrons: Books for Preschoolers," sponsored by ALSC, will feature author/illustrators Donald Crews, Lois Ehlert, Denise Fleming and Harriet Ziefert, librarian KT Horning, editor Michele Coppola, and moderator Marilyn Singer.

 

On Monday, June 28 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Rosen Plaza, Salon 3/4 (a different hotel from the Rosen Centre), the First ALSC Poetry Blast will present fifteen poets: Douglas Florian, Helen Frost, Kristine O'Connell George, Nikki Grimes, Lee Bennett Hopkins, Paul Janeczko, Daniel Kirk, George Ella Lyon, Tony Mitton, Walter Dean Myers, Jon Scieszka, Marilyn Singer, Charles R. Smith, Jr., Allan Wolf, and Jane Yolen. Barbara Genco and Marilyn Singer will co-host.
