Are there books we can give to the child who asks (as my niece did once she was old enough to ask questions) "Who is my Dad? Where is he?" She was born in a household of women who were going to raise her together - in actuality for about 12 months before the toddler & her mother moved out & went to live with the grandmother. Her mother made a photo album of all the members of her extended family with no photo of my niece's father & this apparently led to the child asking her question. Would she have asked the same question after seeing pictures in books & families around about? I don't know.
She now has visiting time with her father.
