Historical Fiction is one of my favorite genres (to write and to read) a few of my favorites include
Jennifer Armstrong's Mary Mehan Series & Black Eyed Susan Gary Blackwood's (Alternate History Book) The Year of the Hangman Laurie Halse Andreson Fever 1793 Carbone's Stealing Freedom Pam Conrads Prairie Song
As an author of historical fiction (The Year of the Sawdustman & others), I often wonder how kids, teachers, and librarians see the "history" within my texts. I'd love to hear comments on the historical aspects novels.
