This discussion is fascinating. I've never considered reading graphic novels because I thought they were all based on video games or weird cult figures. I've never cared for the format. I'm such a linear thinker that all those graphics on one page overwhelm me. But now, I'll have to look out for some of the suggested titles. I never new GNs were so respected among librarians and media specialists.
