Our public library has had wonderful comments from parents on "I Face the Wind" and they would like more books like it. Most of the supplies needed are easily accessible and inexpensive. The suggestions for experimenting are simple and easy to do. It is written clearly, concisely, and with a smooth almost poetic style. The use of text within the artwork adds to the fun, such as the "leaves on trees shake" and "an umbrella turns inside out." I like the use of shadows to show direction of movement of the swinging hangar or the girl rolling the ball into her leg while behind her the wind is gently blowing the curtains.
