One-Room Schoolhouses in Children's Literature

I've been following the ccbc-net discussions for several months and have been introduced to many wonderful books and authors through this list. (Thank you!) Taking advantage of the beginning-of-the month open post time, I'm now posing a general question to list members.

I am compiling an annotated list of children's books (both fiction and nonfiction) that take place largely or in part in a one-room schoolhouse. Titles so far on my list include: Raymond Bial's photo essay, Jim Heynen's story collection The One-Room Schoolhouse, Gloria Houston's My Great-Aunt Arizona, Avi's The Secret School, Betty Ren Wright's picture book The Blizzard, Delia Ray's Ghost Girl, and Laura Ingalls Wilder's On the Banks of Plum Creek.

Can list members recommend other titles to include? Your input is very welcome. I am happy to share the final results with any interested parties.

Please respond to me and not to the list as a whole. Many thanks,
