A reminder to Wisconsin Library Media Specialists and Teachers: The deadline for submitting ballots for our state's student-choice literature award is March 15th. Encourage your students to read the nominated titles (or use them as read-alouds) and provide them an opportunity to vote. Winners are announced at the annual Spring Conference of the Wisconsin Educational Media Association, sponsors of the award. GOLDEN ARCHER VOTING PROCEDURES
The library media specialist and classroom teachers take votes from their students based on the nominated titles. Votes at the various levels (primary, intermediate, middle/junior high) should then be sent to the Golden Archer Committee. It is very important to send an exact count for each title. The committee then counts the votes from all over Wisconsin to determine the winner. Final votes are due March 15, 2004
