Some books are very quiet and intimate. Intimacy indicates a degree of privacy. Olive's Ocean may very well be best read to oneself to allow thinking and quiet response. Oral presentation may shatter the sensitivity needed for an intimate and private reading experience.
What will the questioner do about one or two of the "salty" words when she presents the book orally?
Big Grandma
(who knows a salty word or two--and who learned them from the young people, the telly, and other common places)
