I notice not too many of the mock Newbery programs include nonfiction
(although I realize some do). Is this because of the existence of the relatively recently-established Sibert Award for factual books? Or have organizers of these programs always had a tendency to focus on fiction? Thoughts?
Foote PS Perhaps this is a question for later discussion, during the designated week(s) for the Newbery and/or Sibert winning titles.
