When I have a moment I will forward my review in BAYVIEWS for the Association of Children's Librarians of Northern California (the oldest such group in the U.S.--and probably the world) of "Milkweed." I issued it an "Unsatisfactory" rating for several reasons. But then again, I expect I am tougher minded and less attracted to the continuing market for the bathos of survival stories when we know the first person narrator survived.
