Interesting thread on time slips - in grad school I wrote about some of my own favorites - not quite within the last ten year time frame, but here are some classics:
The Time Machine - H.G. Wells A Traveller In Time - Alison Utley The Visitors - John Rowe Townsend Fog Magic - Julia Sauer Playing Beatie Bow - Ruth Park The Court of the Stone Children - Eleanor Cameron Charlotte Sometimes, Emma In Winter - Penelope Farmer The Devil's Arithmetic - Jane Yolen Tom's Midnight Garden - Philippa Pearce
Usually the most interesting part of these novels is the realization by the main characters and their response to being in a different time - how they
react and adapt, and how they are changed.
I hope these stir memories of others and prompt further discussion.
Enjoy!
Terry
