Just one more favorite:
Goose Girl by Shannon Hale -- a lyrical, complex, and darker retelling of the Grimms' fairytale of the same title. I know that some critics present the pacing of the storytelling negatively as "slow." However, I love the pacing and would describe it as thoughtful and deliberate that is consistent with Ani's personality and her gradual mastering of her powers.
