Children's Book Guild November Luncheon - November 15, Washington, D.C.
Mark your calendar now for this year's Luncheon honoring the Washington Post-Children's Book Guild 2003 Nonfiction Award winner Steve Jenkins. Jenkins' striking cut-paper illustrations fill books with such intriguing titles as What Do You Do With a Tail Like That?, Life on Earth: The Story of Evolution, and What Do You Do When Something Wants to Eat You? Also hear Andrew Clements, author of the best-selling Frindle as well as The Janitor's Boy and Things Not Seen, and James Ransome, illustrator of Sweet Clara and the Freedom Quilt, The Quilt Alphabet and The Creation (winner of the Coretta Scott King Award).
This year's elegant Luncheon will be held at the Capital Hilton Hotel, 1001 16th St NW, Farragut North Metro, at Noon on Saturday, November 15. Book sales and signing before and after lunch. For more information and registration, call 301F9 70 or visit www.childrensbookguild.org.
