If you live in the Rocky Mtn region there is one awesome event about to take place. The DreamMakers Writers Conference is on Aug 9th and this is a win/win set up for all concerned. The Cardinal Marching Band out of this itty-bitty town (Elizabeth, CO) is lucky enough to have as one of its parents volunteers an amazing author named Alane Ferguson. And Alane's contacts within the publishing world are just amazing. Last year for the first time she held DreamMakers 2002 as a fund raiser for the boosters club and it was a great success. She's doing it again this year and the top brass coming to this little town in Colorado on Aug 9th are editors/agents/publishers who are volunteering their time to come and make some writer's dream come true of getting published...therefore the name.
