I am a longtime fan of Vera Williams, and as the mother of five boys I have especially enjoyed "Stringbean's Trip to the Shining Sea" for a warm, loving portrayal of the very special relationship brothers share. I am also the author of several picture books, and I would be delighted if ever someday someone would pay my works the compliment of resembling Williams' in warmth and honesty.
