About 2 years ago the movie "Princess Diaries" came out based on the book by Meg Cabot. I facilitate a Mother Daughter book group and the group decided to read the book, see the movie, followed by a dual discussion. We ended up with a big wipe off board containing a list of the things that were in the movie but not in the book - changes such as location, characters, etc. We had a lot of fun and our conclusion was that the book was far better and that we were disappointed with the changes in the movie but decided some had to be cost related.
