Robin, the two cover versions are in the UK. In America we're only given one choice. With Harry Potter, it doesn't matter to me because adults read Harry. But I have to admit, I hide some of the children's books I read in public. Not so much the YAs, mostly the midgrades.

Does anyone have any thoughts about the decision to publish Harry with two covers, one for children and one for adults? I ordered the children's cover for myself. Are adults ashamed to be seen reading a children's book? Will it be more socially acceptable for an adult to be seen reading the "adult" version on the subway or in the park? Perhaps it will appeal to those teens that have been mentioned as being reluctant to read (or seen reading) HP now?

Just wondering . . . Robin
