On the Eve of HP V

With Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix out tomorrow, we want to remind everyone to avoid posting "spoiler" messages that reveal the secrets of Book V.

We know that anyone who reads the book will be able to revisit our discussion from the first part of June regarding concerns over the age-appropriateness of the newest title for the youngest readers with concrete material on which to form a firmer opinion. We're also sure that some young readers will also be weighing in with you over the next week with their opinions of the book.

We encourage all members of the CCBC-Net community who are HP fans/readers to share their thoughts on these and other aspects of Book V in the coming week. But please don't include specifics that may ruin some aspect of the book for those of us who haven't read as far as you.

If you are in doubt about any part of your message, please include "SPOILER" in the subject line.

Anyone worried about finding out something they don't want to know might want to avoid reading the messages for the rest of June to be on the safe side.

For anyone subscribing in Diget form, please pay careful attention to the specific subject lines of messages as you scroll through the text to decide if you want to read.

Happy Pottering!

Megan
