Hi, Everyone
Please accept this as an invitation for all who are planning to come to Toronto.
On Sunday, June 22, from 1:30 - 3:30 Coretta Scott King Task Force is coordinating a panel discussion: "Creating Culturally Sensitive Books for Children" The program will be held in Room716A/B in the Convention Center
A panel representing various ethnic minority cultures will speak , each from his/her perspective of what is looked for from authors, illustrators, editors and publishers. The wrap-up will be sparked by Patricia Aldana - Groundwood Press - a Canadian based publishing house. There will time for questions from those in attendance.
It should be a lively, thought-provoking couple of hours. Hope that many of you can fit it into your schedules.
Travel safely,
Henrietta M. Smith - Coordinator.
