Jane, I wholeheartedly agree! I now have a group of adults who regularly come to me for YA suggestions for this very reason. One adult book that comes to mind is The Book of Q- a book that I really enjoyed, but right in the middle was a very graphic sex scene that was IMHO totally unnecessary to the plot. It has stopped me from recommending it to certain people who I'm sure would have enjoyed it otherwise (namely my parents). On the other hand, I have never had that reaction to a YA novel- although maybe I'm not reading the edgiest ones. Genevieve
