But, going back to the point that I think Monica, Kathy and I have all raised in the last rounds of comments on YA -- do you see your readers as a group of 12-year-olds or is your book aimed at an older audience? This isn't to say that 12-year-old shouldn't be reading about oral or any other kind of sex but a book aimed at a middle school reader needs to position sex in a different way, I think, than a novel geared at senior school reader. A book like Geography Club takes a very different approach to sex than a book like Boys on the Rocks. Within the genre of YA isn't there a difference between the kinds of YA fiction created for those middle school and senior school readers and don't we have to acknowledge in a more clear sighted way the difference between these kinds of books?
