A friend of mine runs a service called "Stump the Bookseller". The name of the store is Loganberry Books; for $2, she will post your description of the book on the site (the fee is applicable toward the cost of the book once the title has been determined).

Before you post a request, make sure you check out the "Solved Mysteries" pages to determine whether your mystery title has been solved before.

The website is www.loganberrybooks.com/stump-form.html . It's great fun---I check it out at least once a week to help solve mysteries.

I swore I would never do this, but......

Does anyone remember a picture book, probably published sometime between 1994 and 1998, about Picasso and Matisse meeting in gertrude stein's living room for an art duel? I have searched Amazon, Google & WorldCat and can't find it, and there is a more recent book called
"When Pigasso Met Mootisse" that I keep getting instead. I _thought_ the one I want was by Allen Say, who got a Caldecott for Grandfather's Journey, but I think it is just that I saw illustrations from it displayed in the area outside the children's department at the Art Institute of Chicago, and Grandfather's Journey was displayed there too....

Thanks for any help, Debra
