Exactly. Again, Barbara Bush is an adult. I thought we were talking about what books we are publishing, writing, and giving to our middle school readers and high school readers. They will find, and yes this is my opinion, junk like Osbornes on tv and in books always. (As adults, we may very well enjoy reading passages with oral sex included, I'm just saying that we are not at an age where we are learning many things about who we are, and establishing good choice mechanisms.) I just wish we as a community of writers, librarians and teachers expected more of ourselves and our kids. We need to agree to disagree on this matter, of course, as in all matters.
