Subj: Poetry Bibliographies for Children

Since it is Poetry Month I?ve been looking to assemble some bibliographies for children?s poetry, either online or in books. Here is a list of some of the best online sites I have found for bibliographies, but thought if others with knowledge here could add their nuggets this could turn into a golden resource.

Walter Skold : MLIS student at URI Tech Excellence Dept. Memorial Elementary, New Gloucester, Maine.

This page is devoted to classic works of poetry, including Negro spirituals, for students in upper levels of elementary school. Full text of these poems is available online. Most of these selections were recommended in a professional journal [citation lost]. For other online poetry etexts, see Authors & Illustrators of Children's Books. Teacher Resource Files by the name of the poet. The ISLMC is a meta-site for librarians, teachers, parents and students. You can search this site or use a sitemap. Page revised 2/16/03.
