I just wanted to say I've been very impressed with the thoughtful, caring discussion about war books for kids, and glad that all "sides" have been so well represented: those who feel kids need books directly about war to help them cope, those who feel kids need books that aren't about war to help them cope, and those who feel it's important to recognize that different kids in crises have different needs at different times and that those who work with them and love them need to be ready to provide for all of those needs as much as possible.
