Last night 17 school and public librarians gathered to discuss and select a Printz Award winner at Arlington's (VA) second annual Mock Printz Award Discussion. The winning title was The House of the Scorpion, by Nancy Farmer. Honor books included Postcards from No Man's Land, by Aidan Chambers; Before We Were Free, by Julia Alvarez; and My Heartbeat, by Garret Freymann-Weyr.
