I would like to clarify for Ms. Partridge's work and for This Land Was Made For You and Me for those who have not had a chance to read the book:
It HAS extensive source notes and bibliographies and they are Extremely Interesting to read. I think young readers will find them both enlightening and satisfying. I sure did.
I was a little unsettled by the many "Woody felt"s -- and then after reading the source notes and understanding that Ms. Partridge consulted not only print references but also living sources, I trusted that she was not just randomly assigning emotions to the subject.
