May I add a few more books to my list of favorites?

One Leaf Rides the Wind by Celeste Davidson Mannis Ruby's Wish by Shirin Yim Bridges The Village That Vanished by Ann Grifalconi Sense Pass King by Katrin Tchana A Library for Juana by Pat Mora All these beautifully illustrated books introduce the reader to another culture.

Summersaults by Douglas Florian--more fun poetry

Everyone's mentioning Elizabeth Partridge's new book on Woody Guthrie but her picture book, Moon Glowing, is also a treat and glows with paintings of animals settling in for the winter. It's great for toddler programs.

For photographic books I like Barbara Kerley's A Cool Drink of Water. Stunning and humane photos of drinking/using water around the world. (I'm not sure I'd want to drink water from all the sites.)
