Greetings from Idaho,

I recall a short while ago, it was suggested those of us who hold mock Caldecott discussions share our results with the community.

Here in Boise, a group of area public and school librarians, as well as State Library staff and a BSU professor w/students met recently to discuss
(just) Caldecott potentials, and our (unique?) results were as follows:

Tie for winner: Night Dancer (Marcia Vaughan) illustrated by Lisa Desimini Orchard Books
The Spider and the Fly (Mary Howitt) illustrated by Tony DiTerlizzi - Simon and Schuster

Honor books: I Stink! (Jim and Kate McMullan) illustrated by Jim McMullan
- Joanne Cotler Books
Sunsets of the West (Tony Johnston) illustrated by Ted Lewin
- Putnam
King Midas: the Golden Touch - Demi - M K McElderry Books

Happy Holidays to all,
