The former "gutter problem" in Action Jackson was corrected in a later printing during 2002. You probably have the first printing, Leda.

Peace, Ginny

Good choices. I love "Action Jackson," and think Parker did a terrific job of conveying the uniqueness of Pollock through his (Parker's) own energetic and fluid lines. And Jan Greenberg and Sandra Jackson tell a great story. There is one gutter problem in my copy, but I still think the book is quite impressive. Ditto for "What Charlie Heard"-- art and text are so unified, and it's a poignant story, well-told.

Isn't it interesting how many strong picture book biographies there are this year (and recently) and how few memorable original stories? leda
