Clarion published David Wiesner's THE THREE PIGS in April 2001. Wiesner's book, which went on to win the Caldecott Medal, stood out even more among the spring books of its year than it might have done among the fall books that followed. As a reviewer, I thought this was an interesting decision on Clarion's part, and it obviously didn't hurt.
