And of course, wizarding families should mentioned this particular weekend Thanks f/mentioning this, Nicholas. Just got back from the premiere of the movie whose protagonist is of one of the most renown orphans in children's literature today: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I am mesmerized by the power of Rowling's imagination that enabled her to weave a story such as this. The theater was sold out...grandparents, parents, teens and children filled the place...and kids quoted the story to each other and their elders as they waited in line. Harry Potter is quite an empowering figure for kids, especially boys. I worked with a gifted high school senior last year who also had a reading disability and HP was his hero. He thought of HP as a boy who, against all odds, goes out and does the right thing.
