Dear all, Some of my favorite books in the world are the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder and the Betsy-Tacy books by Maud Hart Lovelace. Both depict loving relationships among sisters in a detailed, leisurely way, possible only in a series. The reader feels like a family member as she or he grows up along with Laura, Mary, Carrie and Grace or Betsy, Julia, and Margaret. I read these books over and over, at least once a year. I think everyone should! Thankful for sisters and these wonderful novels, Angelica Carpenter, Curator, Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children's Literature, California State University, Fresno
