I am new to this listserve but not new to the publishing world. I have been an editor, ghostwriter, desktop publisher and bookseller for the past 25 years
(yikes!!! that feels old!!!). I've recently added Webmaster to my repertoire. I am not a new writer per se yet have been wearing my editor hat for so long, working in the nonfiction world most of that time, that now that I want to write fiction I don't kow quite where to start. The fact that my 9-5 keeps me quite busy doesn't help either. One thing that has helped, however, is plugging myself in to local and national writer organizations. I decided to join your listserve after attending a writers' workshop this summer where a NY editor bragged sooooo much about your list. I am presently working on a middle grade novel on life in Cuba from a child's point of view. So as no to make this intro too long I'll point those interested to the link on the Children Come First site that talks more on who I am and what I do. http://www.childrencomefirst.com/cms/ccfgeneralmanager.shtml
Thanks f/having this list and allowing me the opportunity to join your group. I'll mostly "lurk" and learn from you all and will post from time to time.
Olgy
P.S.: Just found out (by reading her post) that a very special family relative I met this summer, Barbara Scotto, is part of your list! Is this a small world or what?!?!?
