I don't usually write in, but I I love these two series so much I couldn't resist. Not only do Betsy-Tacy and Little House show loving relationships between sisters, they also show the grittier aspects-jealousy, competition, finding and defining roles in the family, etc. Another historical series that shows the relationships between very different sisters is Sydney Taylor's wonderful All-of-a-Kind Family books. I know these books are nostalgic and not for everyone, but growing up in very small suburban family, I absolutely loved being able to get lost in and feel a part of these big, warm
'olden?y' families. Shana Corey
