There is still time (until November 6th) to see the exhibit of over 60 memorabilia items related to H.A. and Margaret Rey and their CURIOUS GEORGE BOOKS. Exhibit features original art, manuscripts, correspondence, color separations, editorial commentary and selections from the Rey's commercial art works. Sponsored by The Center for Children's Literature at UWM Exhibit located in the Special Collections room of the Golda Meir library, 22l3 E. Hartford Avenue. Call for hours and directions. Anita Silvey, formerly Editor-in-Chief at Houghton Mifflin, and former editor of THE HORNBOOK, as well as author of the recently published ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO CHILDREN'S BOOKS AND THEIR CREATORS.
Wednesday, November 6th at 7 p.m., in the Special Collections room of the Meir library, will speak on
"What Makes CURIOUS GEORGE a Children's Classic." Call (4l4) 229R46 for more information.
