Author Kevin Henkes will deliver the 2002 Charlotte Zolotow Lecture on Wednesday, October 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wisconsin Union Theater, 800 Langdon Street, Madison. Kevin Henkes is the author and illustrator of
"Sheila Rae the Brave," "Owen," "Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse," and many others, all published by Greenwillow. His lecture will focus on his novels for children, which include "Words of Stone," "Protecting Marie," "Sun & Spoon," and "The Birthday Room."
