In addition to Barbara's recommendation of "Magpies", I'd like to recommend
"Viewpoint: On Books for Young Adults", published the Department of Language, Literacy and Arts Education at the University of Melbourne. The website is:
http://go.to/viewpoint
Viewpoint has been published for about ten years, and features excellent articles, reviews and opinion pieces. I've been a semi-regular contributor since the first edition, so I should declare my bias, but I do think it offers a very high standard of discussion around youth literature, education and related matters.
On a final note, I am planning to set up a website, comparable to ACHUKA, for those who are familiar with it, to promote Australian children's books to the world. I am hoping to link it to an online bookseller, so I will let ccbc_net know when it's up and running.
