Hello..You have mentioned many of my favorites including Rosie's Walk which I think works even better in the board book because you have the panorama of the farm to refer to over and over as you follow Rosie through her near disasters. I always add my own "Oh Oh" or something similar. I also make the train noises for Freight Train. Those books allow for much adlib on the part of the reader. I Went Walking is Sue Williams with Julie Vivas's illustrations (just a correction from a previous entry on that) and is brilliant in that it foreshadows in a way that Brown Bear does not. What I haven't seen yet is wild acclaim for Fuzzy Yellow Ducklings (please someone fill in the author for me - It is a Dial publication)which is a touch and feel concept book that I have read to my 3 month old grandson and he listened over and over, reacting to the opening of the flap pages as they transform the scene in front of him. It is my first baby gift book of choice along with the Tana Hoban black and white books. The other book that I read him over and over was Barnyard Banter (Fleming) which you have to sing really, or at least read with great rhythm and bounce. We love also love reading "Old Black Fly's Been Buzzin' Around Buzzin' Around and He's Had a Busy Bad Day."
(You must understand if I fluff up it's because I am thousands of miles from my bookstore at the moment, lurking in Melbourne and please forgive me if 18 months of downunder has dimmed some memory cells.)

One other that no one has mentioned is Ed Emberley's (Go Away)Big Green Monster which although is not in Toddler Board Format..is really amazing. I read it over and over to another grandson who at 14 mos. could turn the book back over to the front and indicate without words that he wanted it read again..and again..and again. Then after about 20 readings he got off my lap, toddled over to the crammed bookshelf and located a Mercer Mayer Monster book and brought that back for me to read. Cheers..Jody
