I got to this discussion late, so I'll make this short lest I repeat someone. I
*love* the Marsden's Tomorrow When the War Began and its sequels. Gripping survival series for teens, with a strong female narrator, something I'm always happy to see.
I also liked Feeling Sorry for Celia by Moriarty a lot. Very clever premise of having the letters from imaginary organizations--I laughed out loud more than once. Great dust jacket -- I don't know if that's the original Australian one or not.
